SuperSeoAI vs Yoast: what actually changes
Yoast has run on millions of sites for over a decade and it earned that. But it was built for a web where the plugin told you what was wrong and you went away and fixed it yourself. That is the part we changed, and it turns out to change almost everything else with it.
Yoast tells you the meta description is missing. SuperSeoAI writes it.
It writes it, puts it in, and re-scores the page while you watch. That is genuinely the whole difference, and everything below is a consequence of it.The side-by-side
Compiled from Yoast’s published feature list at the time of writing. Plugins change, so if we have something wrong here, tell us and we will correct it.
| Capability | Yoast | SuperSeoAI | What that means in practice |
|---|---|---|---|
| On-page analysis and scoring | ✓ | ✓ | Both check the same fundamentals. The difference is what happens next. |
| A fix for every failing check | - | ✓ | This is the one that matters. Yoast explains the problem and leaves the writing to you. Every SuperSeoAI check carries the fix. |
| Titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, robots | ✓ | ✓ | - |
| Schema / structured data | ✓ | ✓ | - |
| XML sitemaps | ✓ | ✓ | - |
| Redirect manager and 404 log | Premium | Included | In our free edition rather than behind an upgrade. |
| Internal linking suggestions | Premium | Included | - |
| Full article generation | - | ✓ | Yoast has AI help for titles and meta descriptions. Whole articles from an outline you approve is a different job. |
| Batch page building | - | ✓ | Turn a keyword list into planned pages, with near-duplicates refused before anything is written. |
| Competitor page analysis | - | ✓ | Crawl any URL and score it with the same engine that scores your own pages. |
| Bring your own AI key | - | ✓ | You pay the model provider directly, at their price. We never mark up tokens. |
| Time in market | 10+ years | New in 2026 | They have the longer record. We answer that with a thirty-day refund and founding pricing locked for life, which is how a newer product earns a look rather than asking for faith. |
| Support model | Large department | Direct | Ours is a small team that includes the people who wrote the code, so answers come back the same day and without a tier-one script in the way. |
Three reasons people move across
Nobody changes SEO plugin for fun. These are the three things that actually push people to do it.
The tab shuffle gets old
Score the page in one tool, write the fix in another, paste it back, re-score. Here the fix lives in the same panel that flagged the problem, and the score updates while you are still looking at it.
You are paying for three tools
An SEO plugin, an AI writer and a rank tracker is three subscriptions that do not talk to each other. This is one, and the AI runs on your own provider key at their cost with no markup from us.
You need more pages than you can write
Batch building with near-duplicate keywords refused, projected cost shown before it runs, and everything landing as a draft. No traditional SEO plugin attempts this at all.
Switching, in practice
Will I lose my Yoast data if I switch?
No. There is a one-time importer that reads your existing titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, focus keywords and redirects and brings them across, with a preview before anything is written. It copies rather than moves, so your original data stays where it is.
Can I run both at once?
Please do not. Both would try to output title tags and schema, and you would end up with duplicates that confuse search engines. Import first, check the preview, then deactivate the other one.
What if I switch and change my mind?
Because the importer copies rather than moves, your original data is untouched: deactivate us, reactivate the old plugin, and you are back where you started. Add a full refund within thirty days and the entire downside is an afternoon.
Is your free edition actually usable, or is it an advert?
It is deliberately better than a crippled demo: the scoring engine, all thirty rules, site audit, titles and meta, schema, sitemaps, robots, breadcrumbs, redirects, the 404 log, the importer, the internal link graph and the bulk meta editor. What it does not include is anything that calls an AI model. That is the paid line, and it is drawn along a seam that already exists in the architecture rather than through the middle of a feature.
What it costs
Founding prices, locked for life.
Try it against your own site
Import your existing data, run the audit, and see what the fixes are worth.
